Thursday July 31 - How to draw a portrait of a person Class for Adults

Where should you draw the nose in relation to the eyes? How do you even know how to draw a nose! This lesson approaches the prompt of how to draw a proportionate, realistic portrait of a person of your choice. This will be looking at a drawing from straight-ahead, with some tips to draw 3/4 view and profile view, but mostly focusing on straight-ahead.

Suggested materials to bring: a sketchbook, pencil or mechanical pencil, shading pencil (4B, 6B, or 8B,) and an eraser. Any brand is fine.

Class location is hosted in the instructor’s home in White Plains, NY, and as such, location will be provided in an email after registering here

Cost is $25 per class and class size kept intentionally small with 8 students being the maximum.
Signing up for all 4 classes is encouraged to be able to build on the skills with consistency, but is not mandatory - sign up for the date or dates that work for your schedule.
